This course will explore Quaoar in your personal chart and the charts of the other class members.
In myth Quaoar sings and dances the world into existence. Quaoar encourages us to find a practice to bring spirit into our physical lives. That is what song and dance is, practices to call spirit into our body. There are many ways to do this, from meditation and yoga, to bush walks and sport. But all these activities enrich our lives with spirit.
We can look at Quaoar as the higher octave of Jupiter. Both planets talk of expansion and of new possibilities, but where Jupiter expands through a mix of luck and a hunger for more, Quaoar repolarises Jupiter so we can see the new opportunities and deftly take the appropriate action to enable the expansion that is possible in each moment.
Where Jupiter is a sort of dumb luck, Quaoar turns each moment into a dynamic meditation, where we can see the opportunities and act on them in real time. So, Quaoar is like smart luck. Quaoar’s energy is dynamic and present in the moment, working within our consensus reality, either just under the surface or just out in plain sight.
Quaoar is the song and dance we tell ourselves about our lives. This song and dance is a spirit-story which underpins who we are. We want to be the centre of our story, so we tell ourselves and everyone who will listen about that drama, and we create and develop it in the process.
If we are experiencing this energy unconsciously however, we won’t be present in the moment, and we won’t have all the information we need for our story to be successful. So it is likely we will instead snarl ourselves up in chaos through our lack of insight and thereby turn our lives into a soap opera.
When our spirit-story is a soap opera, the drama is just as real, but without the connection to spirit that gives it meaning, so it becomes just a series of moments which don’t build or work together to create something greater.
At this level we could also be a doomsayer because we understand the power of these stories, or we might try and control others through fear to get them to play along with our story. Our inability to access spirit might also give us a fear of change or of group involvement. Or we could find that our spirit is being suppressed by rules and regulations which are being imposed on us.
Once we are on the spiritual path however, we can learn to embrace a spirit of discovery, and to see life as a dynamic meditation. Quaoar’s focus on practice is particularly valuable here, as we realize that anything can be a spiritual practice. At this level everything is valuable and can be woven into the song and dance we are doing which makes sense out of the world for us.
At this level our connection to spirit enriches our lives, allowing us to be present in each moment, and revealing the possibilities available to create our reality. We begin to understand how we can work in harmony with others to create a richer spirit-story. How each creative act adds value to the whole and reinforces the creative fervor. In this way we can push the limit of what is possible.
And at the spiritually evolved level, we see the song and dance of spirit in everything, and we understand that we are part of a rich chorus of spirit which underpins the physical world. We see both the bigger spirit-story that humanity is telling, and the part we’re playing in that story. This allows us to manifest spirit as required to bring order out of chaos and create harmony in our lives.

This course has a new longer format which mixes webinars, blog-posted assignments and live Zoom Q&As, so you can attend from anywhere in the world.
We start with a live Welcome Q&A and we will explore Ixion's House position in the first fortnight, his aspects in the second fortnight and transits in the third. Each fortnight will include an instructional webinar, an investigative assignment based on your personal chart and a live 2 hour Zoom Q&A session.
Assignments will be posted on a private forum so we can learn from and comment on posts from our fellow course members. And the Q&A sessions will be recorded so you can pick up classes you miss live.
