The Astrology of Haumea

This is the first of a series of textbooks on the astrology of the new dwarf planets, based on the research at the Dwarf Planet University.

Probably the most valuable section is the house interpretations, looking at how Haumea manifests in our daily lives with example case studies.

There is also a workbook to locate and on-board this new energy in your chart. And a section introducing each of the dwarf planets to put Haumea in context.

Dwarf planet Ceres conjunct Saturn Pluto by 14 minutes

We're coming up to a close Saturn, Pluto, Ceres, Mercury conjunction on January 12. Ceres is 14 minutes away from the exact Pluto Saturn conjunction and so is Mercury.

Much has been made of the Saturn Pluto conjunction, but I haven't seen much analysis of the Ceres co-conjunction. I guess that is because Pluto is still considered a planet and Ceres an asteroid, whereas they are both in reality now dwarf planets. Some scientists believe that both are in fact two halves of an older larger planet, with Ceres propelled towards the Sun by the spilt-up, as they are similar in composition.

So Ceres is an important influence on the start of this new cycle of transformation in the structure of our world and of our personal lives. I suggest we should be thankful for her presence here, because of her nurturing spiritual energy, but we can also imagine that she is likely to foreshadow periods of spiritual starvation in this cycle, periods where we will have to nurture the Plutonian transformation against the Saturnian odds for the greater good.

A significant part of the Ceres myth is about loss and grief, as she looses her daughter to Pluto, who is lord of the underworld, so the presence of both Pluto and Ceres working together here at the start of this cycle shows we are likely to undergo periods of loss and grief during the structural transformations in this cycle. The change is not going to be easy and we we will have to nurture ourselves through it.

The Sabian Symbol for the degree of the conjunction, Capricorn 23, is: A Soldier Receiving Two Awards For Bravery In Combat. This symbol talks about the reward offered by society for the fulfilment of individual responsibility, about a compensation for a performance well-done — a balancing of accounts.

This symbol on the conjunction, suggests that our best approach to the changes being ushered in during this coming cycle is to fulfil our individual responsibility within the wider whole, to play our part with courage. This is really the make-or-break cycle as far as AI, human extinction, or trans-humanism is concerned, so we are going to need that courage to step up to the huge changes that face us.

The co-conjunction with Mercury is notable in this light, blessing us with ideas and communication which may well be the saving grace of the challenges we face. If we widen the conjunction to 1 degree, the Sun is also co-conjunct and if we widen it to 2 degrees, the Centaur Chariklo is also co-conjunct.

Chiron is the most well known Centaur, and both he and Chariklo orbit between Saturn and Uranus, but where Chiron crosses the orbit of Saturn and so wounds us, so that we heal, hopefully better than before, Chariklo doesn't force her way into the Saturnian world and so we have to open ourselves to access her energy.

The presence of the Sun with the conjunction reinforces the make-or-break nature of the times and that of Chariklo offers a little foresight. Chariklo mediates between the physical realm and the intuitive collective consciousness and as such she offers a limited clairvoyance, if we can open ourselves to her energy.
