The new outer planets represent new aspects of consciousness which are coming available to us now that they have been discovered. But these new aspects of consciousness don't kick in automatically, rather they have to be cultivated over time.
And because these new planets speak of aspects of consciousness, how they manifest in our lives depends on our current level of consciousness.
Eris un-consciousness is rife in the world at this time as we see in the discord around us, but this is the prerequisite for Eris consciousness, which is essentially a pluralist view of the world, which accepts that we can each see it differently and that's okay, rather than being threatened by that.
We can think of Eris as the higher octave of Pluto and a look back at the Eris square Pluto aspect which was a feature of last year demonstrates beautifully the dance these two planets have been doing to raise our consciousness to a pluralist view.
The last square was in mid December and of course the January the 6th insurrection is now history, and for all it's Plutonian terror, we see in the aftermath that Eris was revealing that the emperor had no clothes, with only half of Republicans now believing he did.
You'll remember that was the third of three hits. The first was was at the end of January 2020 when the United States officially went into recession. The second was the George Floyd murder and the Black Lives Matter protests. In each of these times Eris, the truth-telling activist, working together with her lower octave, Pluto, was stirring the pot to encourage us to stop fooling ourselves and grow in consciousness.
In her myth she is the sister and companion of murderous Mars and her wrath is relentless. When she causes a dispute, she is said to be only a little thing at the first, but thereafter grows until she strides on the earth with her head striking heaven.
She is the great revealer and if we don't see something that we need to see, she will blow it up more and more, until we finally get it, until our head is touching heaven, forcing a more spiritual view.
The myth talks of how the energy manifests in our lives at the unconscious level, because that is where most people are, but it also suggests how these energies can be transmuted when we are on the spiritual path and at the spiritually evolved level.
So, remembering that the outer planets act differently at different levels of consciousness, we can see the strife and material competition associated with Eris is going to be particularly apparent at the unconscious level. But Eris doesn’t cause the strife, she just reveals it and then encourages it, so that it can be dealt with and we can live in harmony.
Once we are on the spiritual path the myth suggests that she can enable us to see clearly without preconceptions and help us to keep our body and mind in harmony so that health and happiness prevails.
And at the spiritually evolved level Eris is a truth-telling trickster, like the sacred fools of the Sufi tradition who are the revered teachers, able to communicate with each person at their own level. She provides an unblinking, unfiltered view, which is searing in its magnification of inconsistencies, but which comes with a divine understanding of the value of releasing all inconsistencies in the big scheme of things. We each construct our worlds based on our beliefs and our interpretation of our experience and - just as the Plutonian cycle of death and rebirth is natural and releasing ourselves to it is the best response - the Eris process of revealing inconsistencies in our personal view or collective view, is a natural process of resolving our inherent differences in perception so we can live in harmony.
