Haumea's Finger of Fate!

I hope you are enjoying today's Mercury sextile Venus, this is a good day to sort out things the way you want them. Mercury turned retrograde yesterday however, so you won't get as much response to your outreaches into the world over the next three weeks because everyone will be busy with their own stuff.

Meanwhile, one of the major astrological signatures of our Age is occurring. Haumea, at 1 degree Scorpio, is inconjunct Saturn & Neptune, at 2 degrees Aries, and also inconjunct Uranus & Sedna, at 1 degree of Gemini. In a natal chart this aspect pattern is a Finger of Fate which is pointing to Haumea.

So we're in a period where our both our attempts to realise our dreams (Saturn-Neptune), and our intuitive understanding of our soul-growth (Uranus-Sedna), are sometimes working with the rejuvenation that we need in our lives and in the world (Haumea), and sometimes not. The key with the inconjuncts is to relax when it is not working, rather than trying harder.

Saturn & Neptune inconjunct Haumea

This fated aspect between Haumea and Neptune has been within a 1 degree orb since the middle of last year. This has likely sometimes felt like it was blocking you from growing in spiritual consciousness and at other times like it was facilitating that development. Through this stop-start process you are rejuvenating your spiritual beliefs and learning what works for you.

Haumea is the higher octave of Neptune, so Haumea is repolarising Neptune and exposing our spiritual delusions through this process. And the Saturn conjunction is bringing real world practical demands into our beliefs, so we can see what is real. 

When we experience Haumea’s psychic connection unconsciously, however, it can come with a similar righteousness to Neptune, but with much more psychic force behind it. Or, even more likely, we find no connection to the psychic source, so our life shrivels up and we live in a sort of spiritual starvation, a starvation of life energy. 

Here's an exercise if you are feeling spiritually alienated. Give yourself permission to do something meaningful for you, no matter how weird or unproductive that may be in your normal terms. Follow your heart into a psychic connection and enjoy the rejuvenation that comes from that.

Another way to find spiritual meaning is to make a piece of art, or start a creative project. The playful nature of creative work helps us access the divine in each moment. Neither the product, nor our skill level is important, we simply connect with our psychic centre in the act of creation.

Uranus & Sedna inconjunct Haumea

The inconjunct between Sedna and Haumea has also been within a 1 degree orb for the past year, and this is manifesting in the huge push for soul growth that is coming from changes we are experiencing in society. We have each incarnated at this time of change so our souls can grow through the experience, both assisting the collective rejuvenation and harnessing it for our own growth.

With the Uranus-Sedna conjunction, we are going through a spiritual awakening. Uranus in Gemini is promoting a revolutionary shift in consciousness, and the conjunction to Sedna is bringing a soul level focus to this consciousness growth. Sedna’s all about soul growth and she is always trying to get us onto the spiritual path.

When we are unconscious of her influence, she brings transcendent crises into our lives, which force us to change. In Gemini she is sending us crises of communication and ideas, which are forcing us to let go or our existing consciousness framework and transcend to a new more spiritual understanding of ourselves and our world.

So we’re in a period of fast consciousness development which is important for our soul growth. And the inconjunct to Haumea is bringing fated renewal into our lives as a result, but we have to welcome that renewal and gracefully surrender the old, so there is space for the new to grow.

How shall we do this? I had a great response in the last newsletter to my look from first principals at our new planet this year, Leleakuhonua. So let's look at the Sabian Symbol for Haumea's discovery degree to give us an idea how to facilitate her renewal. The Sabian Symbols were channelled by clairvoyant Elsie Wheeler and astrologer Marc Edmund Jones, and they give us rich visual symbols for each degree of the zodiac.

Haumea was discovered at 13 degrees Libra and the Sabian Symbol for that degree is Children Blowing Soap Bubbles. This is how this image was interpreted by Marc. The keyword is enchantment. When positive, the degree is a consistent simplicity of character which enables anyone to maintain his touch with a transcendental magic of being, and when negative, a constant and idle daydreaming. 

While Lynda Hill tells us: Play is sometimes meaningless and yet very important to development. This symbol suggests there needs to be a light-hearted attitude in addition to the deep and meaningful, for it will be in fleeting moments of fun that pleasure, joy and companionship is found.

So, this discovery symbol tells us that we can best access Haumea’s deep spirituality through a spirit of play. Haumea brings us into touch with the magic of each moment, with the enchantment of being alive. This symbol reminds us to retain our light-hearted joy as the best way to connect with the divine and with the psychic oneness of humanity.
