Pluto square Haumea

I hope you are enjoying today's Sun and Mercury sextile Jupiter. Today you can reach out in your communications and make things happen. We're in eclipse season however, between the Full Moon eclipse at the beginning of this week, and the New Moon eclipse in a week and a half, so something is hidden or being revised as we prepare to come out of the shadows in a new way.

Uranus conjunct Sedna

As you likely know, Uranus is currently conjunct Sedna, our new planet of soul growth, at 1 degree 50 minutes of Gemini. Both planets turned retrograde last week when they were just 22 minutes apart, so the conjunction is currently the closest it will be until the exact hit in May next year. Under this influence you are having an awakening about what your soul really wants to do in this life.

What your soul wants to do is a deeply personal and unique experience, and at the same time it is eternal and universal. Whatever is happening in your life right now is exactly the experience that your soul needs to grow, and Sedna teaches us that when you accept that, and do your divine soul growth work, you unlock the source of abundance in your life.

So, now that Uranus and Sedna are both retrograde, we are into a consolidation phase where we have set ourselves up to do some soul growth work, and now we have to do that work to enable our ongoing awakening, or we will have disruptions and upsets which will force us to do it.

Pluto Square Haumea

At the same time, we also have Pluto closely square Haumea, our new goddess of rebirth, at 1 degree 40 minutes of Scorpio. Haumea connects us to the psychic unity that exists across space and time, with the oneness of our existence. She does this in each moment by simply reigniting in us the magic of being alive. It's actually magic!

This aspect is a sign of the times, as the square has been within a 1 degree orb since early last year and it will go out of this orb in early 2027. The Pluto squares are stress tests, making sure that we have the strength to do something. And this isn't an easy aspect, because both Pluto and Haumea bring change into our lives and any attempt that we make to resist that rejuvenation will inevitably be swept away.

Most astrologers link Haumea with a major earthquake in the Indian Ocean which happened two days before she was discovered. This resulted in a tsunami which killed more people than any other tsunami in recorded history. We naturally think of this as a disaster, but the disaster came through our insensitivity to the world in which we live. The animals on the other hand perceived the earthquake’s initial rumblings, so they ran inland and virtually all of them survived.

When we’re operating at the unconscious level and not tuned into the rumblings of the psychic unity, we experience Haumea’s rebirth energy as disaster. At this level we are victims to circumstances that we’re not paying attention to. As we develop spiritually, we realise that there is no separation, that we are nature. And we learn to tune in to the power the earth offers and to the psychic energies around and within us which are constantly enriching our lives with knowledge.

Haumea brings new growth into our lives, but we must allow this process. We tend to hold onto the old because it gives us security, and if we do the new reality is born through disaster and crisis, rather than through acceptance. Death and rebirth is a natural process and we have to surrender to this process, allowing the old to pass away and welcoming and trusting in what will emerge.

So the stress test of Pluto square Haumea will be manifesting in your life as inevitable change, either through empowerment and new beginnings, or through disaster and crisis. And the more you can appreciate the magic of each moment of that process, being sensitive to yourself and to your environment, the richer your rejuvenation will be. 

Haumea is the higher octave of Neptune, turning his psychic opening into real psychic connection. As we develop spiritually, she gives us a direct link with the soul level and, as we deepen this connection to Source, we learn to facilitate a constant renewal in our own lives and in the lives of those around us.

Because these new planets talk of consciousness, they manifest differently in our lives depending on our current level of consciousness.
