Uranus bi-quintile Ixion

I hope you are enjoying today's Mercury trine to Neptune. Our thoughts and our dreams are working together. Neptune went back into Pisces a week ago for one last visit, so these dreams maybe collective in some way, or they may be spiritual. Mercury will also sextile Pluto over the next few days, as he slows down towards his retrograde at the end of next week, so this is a time when we can reach out in our communication and make changes in our lives to facilitate our dreams.

Mars is also trine Saturn for these next three days, giving us the motivation to to take on more responsibility, or bringing us endless chores. Either way, as we reach out in our communications, we will also be taking action to develop the structure of our lives. 

Meanwhile Uranus is bi-quintile Ixion, our new planet of seeker consciousness, at 6 degrees Capricorn. Uranus awakens us to the new, and Ixion encourages us to develop our authenticity and to follow our bliss. Following your bliss means committing to do what brings you joy and purpose and, when you do, the universe will open doors by presenting opportunities and connections you wouldn't have otherwise found. 

Mythologist Joseph Campbell said: If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be. 

So, under the quintile between Ixion and Uranus - which we've been having for the past five weeks and which will continue for the next four - by pursuing what excites you, you will discover new opportunities and meet new people who can help you. Your passion serves as an inner compass, and by following it, you can overcome fear and doubt to create a more fulfilling and authentic life. 

To enable this authenticity, we need to free our inner wild-child and own the ‘bad’ girl or ‘bad’ boy inside us. Society and our upbringing have labelled certain things or actions bad, to guide us away from them, but they are mostly just repressed energies that have been labelled bad. So the ‘bad’ boy or girl inside is like being ourselves without these inhibitions.

One way you can do this is to have a ‘bad’ person day. Set aside a day where you let yourself do the things you really want to do, but don’t normally let yourself. One of these next days would be ideal with Mars trine Saturn and Mercury sextile Pluto, but anytime in the next four weeks is supported by the Uranus bi-quintile to Ixion. In bravely being yourself you might push the boundaries and step on some toes, and, to preserve your freedom of action, you need to ask for forgiveness afterwards rather than permission before.

As with all the planetary energies, when we don’t own the energy, we project it out into our lives and then we will call bad boys and bad girls to us. We need this energy of ‘pushing the boundaries’ in our lives so either we own it, or we attract it. And when we attract it we have no control over how it manifests. Generally it will manifest as undesirable people coming into our lives in the area associated with our natal Ixion house placement, or the transiting position.

If Ixion has been manifesting as disreputable others coming into your life over the past five weeks, it means that you are not expressing your ‘bad’ girl or ‘bad’ boy energy. So in these next four weeks, try gradually letting yourself out to play by doing one of the things you secretly long to do. As you own this energy, you will find that there is no need for it to manifest as others pushing you to be authentic.

The secret to releasing your inhibitions is to become sensitive to the unspoken agreements in your relationships. Then you can sense how far you can go in each interaction. We have unspoken agreements with everyone, even strangers we pass on the sidewalk, we unconsciously agree not to touch them or look in their eyes. These agreements are different for everyone, and the grey area between our inhibitions and the unspoken agreements in our relationships is Ixion’s play-space.

So, with the bi-quintile between Uranus and Ixion, you are in a time where you can push the boundaries, and you do this by paying attention to the unspoken agreements in each moment of your day. Each individual is different in their application of the general rules of behaviour and in their tolerance for flexibility. So, when you feel it’s okay, be proactive about pushing the boundaries where it is not going to be a problem.

This sensitivity to both your authenticity and how far you can push the boundaries with others, will help with your communication outreach to facilitate your dreams over the next few days. The more you can open yourself to new impulses, as you live your authenic life and follow your bliss, the more transformative these next days will be.
