I hope you are enjoying today's Venus conjunct Jupiter. This is a genuinely generous combination — one of the warmest, most expansive, most relationship-rich aspects the heavens can offer. This is an aspect of good fortune in love and friendship, of abundance in connection, of the kind of lucky, joyful encounters that remind us why we are glad to be alive and in relationship with others.
The Venus-Jupiter conjunction is square Eris, our new planet of diversity consciousness, at 26 degrees Aries. At the top level Eris wants everyone to be included and no one to be judged, and this inclusivity connects us to an inner wisdom or to a higher wisdom, maybe even to an angel guide. So we could be finding the square with Jupiter-Venus manifesting as a challenge to be inclusive, or to speak our inner truth, in the lucky relationships we are currently having. I'll talk more about this below.

But first, this square is a perfect time to launch our new book on The Astrology of Eris: Pluto's Higher Octave, Our New Diversity Consciousness, which I have co-written together with my long-time assistant, Melissa Billington. This book has been flying off the shelves for the past week without any promotion, I think because of all the interest in my recently released book on Ixion - we've hit 60 paperback sales on the Astrology of Ixion already, thanks for your support, and the first industry review is in, which I'm including below - So, to encourage the same level of interest in the Eris book, it will also be available as a free Kindle download next week. I'll post an invitation to download this new book when the promotion starts. And remember the deal is, if you like it, spread the word: tell a friend about it, write a review, or buy the Eris paperback.

Meanwhile Saturn is conjunct Leleakuhonua, our new planet of multi-dimensional consciousness, at 14 degrees Aries. Leleakuhonua enables us to see our soul reflected in the other souls of our lives. We are each part of a family of souls who are helping one another grow through our interactions. I will be doing a free talk on Leleakuhonua next week through NCGR and all you need to do to get the Zoom link is to send me an email to alan@dwarfplanet.university More information on this conjunction and the talk below.
Jupiter Square Eris
So we can see that the Jupiter-Eris square is bringing free consciousness expansion into our lives, if we can open to the possibilities around us. Eris wants everyone and everything to be included. She has no patience for judgement, comparison, or the quiet exclusions that we so often make without even noticing we are making them. With the square to the Venus-Jupiter conjunction, Eris is pressing this question into the heart of our most fortunate relationships: are we truly open to everyone the good fortune of this conjunction is bringing into our orbit? Are we speaking our authentic inner truth in these connections, or are we performing a version of ourselves that feels safer, more acceptable, more strategic? This is the creative tension in the sky in the next couple of weeks, and it is well worth sitting with.

We know that these new consciousness energies manifest differently depending on our current level of consciousness, and at the unconscious level, Eris' square to Venus and Jupiter can manifest as a kind of social scrambling. We may find ourselves going to considerable lengths to be included in whatever feels lucky or abundant right now — compromising our authentic voice in the process, or conversely, mouthing off in ways that are more reactive than honest and finding that we've talked ourselves out of the very connections we wanted. At this level, Eris tends to expose the places where we are still fooling ourselves about our own openness: where we claim to be inclusive but quietly judge, where we say we welcome difference but feel threatened by it when it actually appears. The square from Eris to such a fortunate conjunction can feel like a fly in the ointment — a niggling friction in what should be simple joy. That friction is not the problem; it is pointing us toward something we need to see.
For those of us on the spiritual path, this configuration is something altogether richer. Eris at the spiritual level asks us to look at ourselves and our world without preconceptions — to embrace our own multi-faceted nature and extend that same unconditional acceptance to every person the conjunction brings into our lives. The combination of Venus and Jupiter is opening doors, creating introductions, expanding our social and relational world. Eris is asking that we walk through those doors without our habitual filters of who deserves our warmth and who doesn't, who fits our picture of the people we should be close to, and who falls outside it.
This is, in practice, a genuine spiritual practice. Because the impulse to include selectively is deep and usually invisible to us. We think we are being open, and meanwhile we are making dozens of small assessments — comfortable or uncomfortable, familiar or foreign, safe or risky. Eris in square to this conjunction is precisely the friction that makes those assessments visible. You might notice this week a moment in a relationship or encounter where something in you wants to pull back, to qualify your openness, to stay at a comfortable surface level rather than bringing your real self forward. That moment is Eris speaking. The invitation is to move toward the thing you are instinctively editing out.
Because at the highest expression of this square, Eris's demand for radical inclusion does something beautiful: it connects us to a deeper wisdom than our habitual social consciousness has access to. When we are truly open to everyone, without comparison or judgement, without strategic calculation about who is useful or impressive or easy, something opens in us that might be called an inner guide — the part of us that knows where we are in our karmic and dharmic dance, what each encounter is genuinely for, and what each person most needs to hear from us. In some experiences this connection can feel quite literally like guidance from beyond ourselves. The spirit guide that Eris can bring is not separate from our own deepest knowing; it is what becomes available when our knowing is no longer narrowed by the ego's preferences.
Venus and Jupiter are offering us lucky, abundant, expansive encounters. Eris is asking us to be fierce enough in our grace to meet each of those encounters with our whole, authentic, unfiltered presence. To speak our actual truth, warmly and without judgment, crafted for the specific person in front of us. To be the truth-telling trickster who values everyone as they are, who can see what each person needs and what they can actually receive, and who communicates from that place of clear, compassionate, inclusive love. This is what the square is for. Not to diminish the joy of the conjunction, but to make it real.
GOING DEEPER WITH ERIS: THE NEW BOOK
If Eris' energy is speaking to you right now — and this square to Venus and Jupiter is a very good time for her to be doing so — then the natural next step is to get Melissa and my new book, The Astrology of Eris: Pluto's Higher Octave, Our New Diversity Consciousness, which is available now both as a Kindle ebook and as a paperback on Amazon. (These links go to the US site, and you have to get the Kindle edition from the Amazon site in your country, so if you are getting an "unavailable" message, switch Amazon sites).
This is the definitive guide to Eris in the personal chart, exploring her house placements, aspects, and transits through the lens of a decade of research and real chart study. Whether you are encountering Eris consciously for the first time or deepening an understanding already in progress, this book will show you precisely how her fierce grace and radical inclusivity are operating in your own life — and how to work with that energy most powerfully and most lovingly.
Saturn Conjunct Leleakuhonua
Meanwhile Saturn is conjunct Salacia, our new planet of higher-love consciousness, within 1 degree, as I discussed in the last newsletter, and also conjunct Leleakuhonua, our new planet of multi-dimensional consciousness, within 2 degrees. Salacia is softening Saturn's restrictions through an understanding of the process we are involved in, and Leleakuhonua is bringing the soul level connections that we need to deal with these restrictions, or to learn the Saturnian lessons we are having.
Discovered in 2015, Leleakuhonua’s orbit is 5 times as long as Sedna, which has been the outer limit of our solar system since it was discovered in 2003. Sedna speaks of our spiritual destiny and all the experiences we have to go through to get to that destiny. And, because the planets become more spiritual the further out we go, Leleakuhonua steps Sedna’s soul consciousness up to become a unified soul-field, where, at the top level, we can see our soul reflected in the other souls in our lives.
My co-writing with Melissa Billington on the Eris book is a great example. We both have Leleakuhonua in the third house - the house of ideas and communication - and when we write, we do it together in real time, bouncing the ideas back and forwards between our souls in a rich meaningful way, but to enable this we have to let go of all the personal stuff, the inner planet stuff, which gets in the way, and this is not always easy.
The astrological meaning of Leleakuhonua was collectively researched last year in a groundbreaking NCGR research project, and I will be presenting the results of this research next week through the NCGR International Talks program on Wednesday 17th, at 4pm EST. (This is 9pm in the UK, 10pm in Europe, 8am on Thursday in New Zealand and 6am on Thursday in Australia). This is a free talk to promote NCGR - which is the international astrology organisation that is most open to our new planets - and all you have to do to participate is to send me an email to alan@dwarfplanet.university to get the Zoom link.
I hope you can join us at the Leleakuhonua talk, and please support Melissa and me by buying the paperback or downloading the Kindle edition of our new Eris book - and watch out for the invite to download the promotional deal next week. May you be open to everyone the sky is bringing you this week, and thanks for your work embracing these new aspects of consciousness.

Finding Our Soul Mates in the Unified Soul Field
The Astrology of Leleakuhonua, Our New Multidimensional Consciousness
By: Alan Clay
New Zealand NCGR International Delegate
Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, 4pm EST
As we develop spiritually Leleakuhonua teaches us to be both independent and interdependent as we pursue our big spiritual missions. At this level the soul-entanglement of the unconscious level, becomes an uncanny interconnectedness which sustains and supports our spiritual growth. We learn to follow our heart in our divine work and realize that our spiritual growth supports the wider collective growth. At this level, our multi-dimensional consciousness connects us to the joy and love of our soul-mates.
And at the top level, we can develop an expanded spacetime awareness and we learn to trust in the longer journey. We have the tenacity and endurance to undertake a long enterprise or to do something big and important, and over time we may be able to bring about a rebirth of a new social balance. By trusting in our intuition, we find the stamina, patience and diligence to play our part in creating the new Earth.

The Astrology of Ixion: Pluto's Lawless Brother, Our New Seeker Consciousness
Reviewed by Wendy Blume in the Astrology Association of NSW Orbits Magazine
Alan Clay continues his exploration of the trans Neptunian Planets in his latest book, focusing on Ixion, which is subtitled, “Pluto’s Lawless Brother, Our New Seeker Consciousness”.
Alan Clay pioneers exploration of the TNOs, compelled to flesh out the meaning and importance of the twelve dwarf planets that have been discovered in the past twenty years. Alan argues convincingly that if we are to accept that planets are discovered when humanity is ready to grow on expand in some way, then this influx of new energy is pushing us into a new era of spirituality and consciousness.
Clay’s book ‘New Stars for a New Era’ is compulsory and sits permanently on my desk. He is slowly releasing individual explorations of the planets, going into more depth, trying to tease out what their exact influence is. He does this quite methodically, examining the physical and orbital charactertistics, the myth, the sabian symbol for the discovery degree and events around the time of discovery. He combines this information to build a logical picture of the planet’s potential. From there he extrapolates meaning, and how this influence may show up in natal charts, which he supports with a variety of case studies.
With an orbit that is inclined to the ecliptic and takes a total of 251 years, it’s easy to see Ixion’s similarities to Pluto and Clay proposes that this dwarf planet is another ruthless influence with the potential for destruction. But there is a more open quality, with the promise to develop and learn from our mistakes, in order to evolve spiritually. Ixion seeks independent spiritual passion and a call to authenticity as we ask the question, “Are the rules we’re playing by the right ones?”
As with all of Clay’s work, there’s a strong emphasis on how to acknowledge and live with these new influences as their energies start to permeate humanity. They are subtle but available to us. Clay states, “by making these new planets conscious, students become empowered, and their lives are transformed”. To assist in this journey he offers exercises to help you engage and on-board. These are a mix of attitude adjustments and entirely practical ‘exercises’ that you can participate in.
It’s this commitment to making broad spiritual concepts manifest in daily life where Clay’s work really resonates for me and where I see its biggest potential. His investigation of the dwarf planets has the perfect balance of big picture academic astrology with the applicable impact of them in our daily lives. It’s impressive work.
To finish the book he considers Ixion through the signs, and as with all of the slow moving outer planets, he focuses more deeply on Ixion’s influence through the twelve houses. NSW-based Clay’s important work is worth supporting. If the hardcopy book is a little pricey, there are affordable e-books and his work is also available on Kindle Unlimited.
