I hope you are enjoying today's Mars sextile Pluto. This is an aspect that encourages us to do lots of things and become empowered through that action. Pluto however is stationary retrograde, so we are entering a phase of being more resourceful, of refining our power to conserve it for our priority areas.
Jupiter is also closely sesquiquadrate Makemake, at 9 degrees Libra. We are experiencing a challenge to expand our lives in some way this week, and this challenge is coming from our understanding of who we are and how our world works. Â
We build this model of ourselves in the world through our years of experience, hopefully perfecting it as we go in the light of new experience. Now we are being challenged to actualise this is some way by the opportunities we are experiencing.
Playful Spirituality
Makemake is a playful spiritual energy. Playfulness gives us an ability to experiment, and try things out. He's the higher octave of Uranus, who is the higher octave of Mercury. All the information and communication in our world is sifted and networked by Uranus to build our Makemakian understanding of how it all works.
So the current sesquiquadrate might be expressed as a challenge to update our understanding of the world, so we can expand in some way. Or our expansion could be challenging us to take action, and we might not yet be able to get a clear view of how to go about it.
The answer in this situation is to this is to be playful and trusting with the divine energies, and nurture the cycle of growth in which we find ourselves. Makemake's understanding has a fractal nature, where each part references all others, meaning that when we can relax into each moment, we can see the whole reflected there.
Sometimes we use our Makemakeian understanding to present as small a target as possible and to blend in to the background as a way of keeping safe. In which case the current sesquiquadrate could be encouraging us to break that pattern and to stand out in some way.
We need to embrace the rich culture that is created through our insights, and we have to trust in our reality model and use it to engage with the world, rather than use it as camouflage to keep us safe from attention. It works both ways, but the more we engage with the world, the more opportunity we have to refine our model and develop it.
Â
We have to get in our model and drive it around in order to continually update it based on our new experiences. The more we expand and test our dataset, the better our model becomes and the more useful it is in charting our way forward. Playfulness is a way of removing the fear of failure in this process. There is no failure because all the data is valuable. It’s only a failure if we don’t integrate the experience, causing the ‘bad’ outcome to happen again.
Â
However our reality model is not a toy car we can play with. We are cultivating an ineffable, infinitely complex understanding which unconsciously informs our choices in each moment. So, the way we get in it and drive it around is to simply face up to the challenges we are encountering today.
So Jupiter's sesquiquadrate is a blessing however it is manifesting, bringing opportunity to develop our playful spirit consciousness as we begin our Plutonian reallocation of power.
Makemake Scholarships
A great way to develop our playful spirit is to explore it with a group of like-minded souls who can help us by sharing how they see it in their lives. This enables us to develop the fractal view, where we can see the interconnections which enable the system of our lives to operate.
Makemake is starting in the next course bracket at the end of June, and I have a limited number of full scholarships available which give you the course for around a third of the normal cost. Be quick to grab one.
Join us if you can, and thanks for your work embracing these new aspects of consciousness.Â
Love and laughter
Alan
I absolutely loved the class! As a first time student of astrology, I can honestly say that aside from Alan  (a wonderful teacher and guide), every one of the students in the class was a teacher for me. I learned so much and can’t wait for the next class to begin. - Mary Anne Pitt, USA
