I hope you are enjoying the current grand trine between the Sun, Uranus, and Pluto. The trine between Uranus and Pluto is enabling us to make intuitive changes in our lives this month, and the trines to the Sun today, give us the opportunity to consciously direct this process.
Mars is also conjunct Haumea, our new planet of unity consciousness, at 2 degrees of Scorpio, so in these days we can take action to bring about a renewal of our lives. Mars is the Roman god of war however, so if we don't consciously craft this action, we could be thrown into a renewal by an attack from someone else.
Mars in Scorpio encourages us to do extreme things to get what we want, and Haumea in Scorpio is on a mission to sweep away the trivia and bring renewal into our lives from a deep and meaningful connection with the oneness of our existence. We are born as an individual, but, at heart, we are all one. This is the unity consciousness of Haumea.
In Libra for the past 30 years, she has been encouraging creative activism and a rebirth in our sense of justice. We have had a world-wide push for human rights during this time, as if they are natural inevitable rights. And along with this we have been reinventing our relationships, so the transit through Libra has also seen the birth of the rainbow community.
Since the dive into Scorpio in 2023, Haumea has been rejuvenating our collective psyche, encouraging a radical activist approach to living together on the planet. Haumea is the creation goddess of the people of the Hawaiian Islands, and she is both an earth goddess and a fire goddess. So, in the deep-water sign of Scorpio, she is steaming the place up and creating a hot-house environment for our growth.
The Mars conjunction is bringing a fighting spirit to to this hot-house experience, and when we feel Haumea’s psychic connection at the ego consciousness level it can come with a similar righteousness to Neptune, but with a lot more psychic force behind it. So we may find that we are riding roughshod over everyone in these next days, or sticking our neck out about something and so getting ourselves into trouble. Or, more likely, we could find that others are behaving in this way towards us.
As we develop a more spiritual approach with Haumea, we learn to trust in the life process and allow the magic-of-being in each moment. We all know those special moments when we are out in nature, or in the arms of our love, or deep in meditation, where we feel the life-force chorusing through us. This psychic connection to the oneness-of-life is the magic that Haumea opens us to in each moment.

She does this by encouraging a spirit of play within the sacred work we are doing. Play requires trust in the bigger picture. We need to allow ourselves to let go and explore the myriad of creative possibilities without judgment, and that way we deepen the sacred. So her energy is playful and creative, symbolising a constant renewal and a joy in life.
So in these next days, rather than fighting the good fight to bring renewal into your life, you could instead take action to facilitate the magic-of-being in your life in some way. Try taking a playful approach to the battles you encounter, embrace the joyful warrior architype, and this will help you access the divine in each moment and bring renewal in that way.
Haumea into Action
Let's look at a Mars conjunct Haumea case study to see how this conjunction played out in Princess Diana's life. In myth, Haumea married her son and grandson, growing old each time and being renewed as a young woman. We see this same motif echoed in Diana’s heritage. She was the daughter of the 8th Earl of Spencer with excellent lineage dating back to the 15th century, and wife of her 11th cousin once removed, Prince Charles, heir to the British throne.
Diana had Haumea in the eighth house at 0.15 Virgo. This first-degree placement is significant because it represents a new journey in this earth sign. It is less established in the energies of the sign but more in touch with the newness, the magic of being. In Virgo this manifests as the health of the body and in the eighth house that extends to the health of the collective energies.
What makes this placement on the cusp so strong is the conjunction with Mars at 1.39 Virgo. This gave her the ability to put the rejuvenating power of Haumea into action in the world. This powerful conjunction is in the eighth house of collective resources and deeper spiritual meaning, and she played a regenerative role not only in British society but across the globe with her charity work.
She was a huge inspiration to many people for this work and she became known for shifting social attitudes towards AIDS patients, as well as for her campaign for the removal of landmines. She was also a strong advocate for helping people with cancer and mental illness. This is her Haumea conjunct Mars in the eighth house of collective resources, as she worked to enact a rebirth in the collective use of our energies.
So check the house involved with the Scorpio cusp in your chart, to see in what area of life the Haumea-Mars conjunction is activating for you. In that area you are being encouraged to live in the present and to savour every moment of life, allowing you to appreciate the beauty of the world around you, and within you.
Haumea & Mars Special
A great use of the Mars conjunction, of course, would be to enrol on our Haumea course, which is starting in a couple of weeks. This is one of the last two courses available for this year, so this is your last opportunity to start your consciousness adventure this year at a bargain price, and I have a Mars Conjunction Special to encourage you.
And remember this course has our new 'Tutor support program', which provides support Zooms to help those students who need assistance to complete the assignments. These support sessions are proving very popular and getting great feedback. So, wherever you are with your understanding of astrology, our tutors can help you participate.
New Leleakuhonua Course
To give you a picture of the students on the courses, our new Leleakuhonua course starts this weekend and it is full with 50 students from 13 countries on two Zooms with 25 in each. 15 are from the US, 10 from Australia, 7 from the UK, 6 from Germany, 2 each from Spain, Netherlands and France, and 1 each from Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, Canada and New Zealand. 43 are ongoing students who have taken courses before at the Uni, and 7 are newcomers. The students on all the courses are overwealmingly female, and there are 48 women and 2 men on Leleakuhonua.
Join us if you can on Haumea and thanks for your work embracing these new aspects of consciousness.
