Pluto trine Sedna

Today we have retrograde Mercury conjunct both the Sun and the New Moon in Scorpio. This is the midpoint of the retrograde Mercury, as well as the new beginning of our emotional cycle for the next month. So, the conjunction suggests that the personal re-thinking that we are currently doing will play a big part in our emotional growth this month.
This New Moon & Mercury conjunction is closely trine Neptune, which is exactly sextile Uranus. The sextile between Uranus and Neptune has been in effect since the beginning of August, with an exact sextile at the beginning of September, and it will go out of 1 degree orb in 4 weeks time. This aspect is the saving grace of these months, enabling your intuition to guide your spiritual growth. This is a time to trust in your inner guidance, knowing that your intuition is a powerful navigator through these dynamic and shifting times.
Uranus has recently gone back into Taurus after 3 months in Gemini, giving us a taste of the information revolution to come over the next 6 years when he goes back into Gemini in April next year. Uranus will then conjunct Sedna in late May, our new planet of soul growth, so we're heading for a consciousness explosion as the planet of networked ideas meets the planet of spiritual destiny in the sign of personal consciousness. Meanwhile Pluto is currently closely trine Sedna. This aspect is actually the signature of our time as it has been in effect on-and-off since early 2022 when Pluto was in Capricorn and Sedna was in Taurus. This is the big blessing we have been having in these years, where the huge social transformation that we are living through is enabling our soul growth.
Sedna is named after the Inuit or Eskimo goddess of the food supply. And she talks about our spiritual destiny at the highest level, but also about all the learning experiences we have to go through to get to that spiritual destiny. I call Sedna our Soul’s Path of Destiny because her placement in your chart represents the growth experiences that your soul really wants to undertake in this life.
In April 2024, she made her final ingress into Gemini. And she will remain in the sign of personal consciousness until 2065. So, we’re into a period where slogans, ideas and dogmatic debates are replacing our soul’s focus on the Taurean themes of money and sexuality.
Because the outer planets represent aspects of consciousness, how they manifest in our lives depends on our own current level of consciousness. When we are unconscious of our soul needs, Sedna’s focus in Gemini on ideas and dogmatic debates could lead us to believe that we can say anything we want to, without checking facts, or references. This approach will become pervasive during these next years, as a way to get around our own lack of willingness to learn the real facts or develop intellectually.
But if you practice this approach, it will always bring you to a transcendent consciousness crisis, which will force you to let go of your old ideas because these have been proven not to work. The key with any Sedna crisis is to let go of the old framework early, so you don’t experience repeated pain. We need to be counter-intuitive and let go of the problem, rather than try to solve it.
Letting go is very hard to do, because we are brought up to be responsible, and the responsible thing is to face up to our issues, rather than turn our back on them. But Sedna issues can’t be solved within our current consciousness framework because they are designed to be transcended, to lift us out of our lower consciousness, or to shock or force us out if necessary.
Transcendence is scary, because we don’t know where it will take us, but Saturnian solutions won’t solve Sedna crises. Only letting go of them will free us. And the beautiful thing is, that when you do let go, you will be able to transcend to a new more spiritual understanding of yourself and your world.
The last exact trine between Pluto and Sedna was 2 weeks ago, and this aspect will go out of 1 degree orb in the middle of December, with a final transit in September and October next year, so we're rounding out this empowering period of soul growth that we've been in for the last 3 years.
